2026 River Region Grade Championships

The 2026 River Region Chess Championship brought together 29 talented students from across our area to compete for the title of City Champion in their respective grade levels. Players demonstrated strong strategic thinking, focus, and sportsmanship throughout the event as they faced off in five rounds of competition. The championship highlighted the growing enthusiasm for scholastic chess in the Montgomery area, providing students with an opportunity to challenge themselves and celebrate their achievements. Congratulations to all participants and to the new grade-level champions who earned the honor of representing the best young chess talent in our city.
