2026 Promoting Pawns Scholastic

The 2026 Promoting Pawns Scholastic at Montgomery Academy was a great day of chess! We had 45 talented competitors bring their focus and determination to the boards, battling through some fantastic games and showcasing real progress in their play. From careful opening preparation to well-calculated endgames, the students gave it their all in every round.

We’re grateful to Montgomery Academy and especially to Frances Smith for hosting us once again and for their continued support of youth chess. Their hospitality helps make these events possible and gives our players a great environment to compete in.
